Citrus Hotel ~ Johor Bahru

Setelah seminggu balik dari liburan ke Singapore, finally dapet mood untuk nulis lagi.. hehehe..

Mari kita awali dengan me-review satu hotel yang menjadi tempat saya menginap di Johor Bahru..

This is what I wrote on TripAdvisor, about my experience staying at Citrus Hotel : 

"Stayed at Citrus Hotel Johor Bahru for one night (May 2014) and booked two standard rooms. We arrived at the hotel on 3pm, and our rooms haven't ready yet. Wait for 30minutes and they kept telling us that the housekeeping still cleaning our rooms. This still confusing me, because what I know, check out time is at 12.00. Then some of the staff offering us to go to 2nd floor to have a welcome drink. They said it's their lounge, but the staff brought us to their meeting room. After another 1 hour, we finally got our rooms.

Unfortunately one room that we had is smelled cigarette smoke, while the other room had a problem with the toilet flush. The rooms was not clean enough, especially for the towel and bed sheets.

Great things about this hotel is their location, just the opposite of JB City Square Mall, and couple minutes walk to JB Sentral and JB CIQ.

Room Tip: Bring more cash as they asked for 100 MYR deposit for each room and asked for non smoking room" 

Citrus Hotel, hotel yang satu ini kayaknya udah jadi hotel sejuta umat, secara jadi pilihan utama bagi orang2 yang liburan ke Johor Bahru.. Despite it's negative reviews di TripAdvisor, saya memutuskan untuk give it a try, secara lokasi nya memang yang paling strategis..

Dari JB CIQ (imigrasi) cuma perlu jalan melewati JB Sentral dan Mall JB City Square.. Ga perlu panas2 or nyebrang jalan, secara semuanya melewati jembatan pedestrian.. Cara termudah untuk ke Citrus Hotel setelah melewati imigrasi JB, adalah menuju Atrium JB CIQ, melewati jembatan pedestrian menuju ke JB Sentral.. Dari JB Sentral cari jembatan pedestrian lagi yang menghubungkan JB Sentral dengan Mall JB City Square.. Sampai di mall, cari pintu keluar dan voila, Citrus Hotel sudah di depan mata.. 

Saya sampai di hotel sekitar jam 15.00 and guess what, kamar saya ternyata belum ready.. Padahal waktu check in kan jam 14.00.. Saya booking 2 kamar standard, secara kita berempat.. Untuk 2 kamar standard per malam kena 290 MYR di booking.com.. Dan harus deposit 100 MYR per kamar..

Sempat complain berkali2 ke staff nya, dan kita cuma disuruh duduk dan menunggu di lobby.. Complain ketiga kita akhirnya membuahkan free welcome drink yang kata nya di lounge mereka.. Yup, lounge yang ternyata setelah kita datangi adalah ruang meeting yang pengap dan spooky..

Setelah lebih dari 1 jam menunggu, my mom complain lagi ke receptionist, dan akhirnya kamar kita sudah ready, walaupun hanya 1 kamar.. Dapat kamar yang di lantai 7.. Quick tips, kalau pergi nya ramai2 dan postur tubuh nya besar2, jangan pilih lift yang di sebelah kanan kalau ga mau desak2an kayak kita kemarin.. wkwkwk..

Kamar pertama, not bad at all sebenarnya.. Cuma ya gitu, jangan berharap dapat towel dan bed sheets yang putih bersih.. hihihi.. Dan entah kenapa, bau asap rokok di kamar ini kagak mau hilang2.. Kamar kedua, walaupun secara ukuran lebih luas, flush toilet nya ternyata bermasalah..

Overall, seperti judul review saya di TripAdvisor, "the best you can get in Johor Bahru".. Secara lokasi, perfect.. Hanya perlu improvement di service dan cleanliness..
